About Jules

My name is Jules.
I have always loved to write. Even when I was a child I remember writing as a way of expressing myself.
I desire to help people who are hurting and want to live for something much bigger than myself and this typical (but blessed) American dream. I am learning and seeking what this looks like in my life.
I am a stay at home mom and I love it and would chose this life over and over again. But I do miss exploring the other dimensions of myself, when being a mom wasn't the number one hat I wore.
I love Jesus and am so in awe of His love for me. I hope my life can show even a bit of Him in me.

Abundant Blessings...

So many of you know that Dave applied for a Management position at Edison about 6 weeks or so ago. He got called for an interview which was exciting. After the interview Dave felt good about how it went and so did they because they called him for a 2nd. The process for the 2nd interview is quite intensive. Human Resources sets up kind of like a mock day in the life of a manager and they video tape you and others throughout the day and evaluate your performance, communication etc. It was a good but tiring experience but after; all and all Dave felt pretty well about how he did.
So about 3 or so weeks had passed and we hadn't heard back about the position so we were starting to think that Dave did not get the job.
Well last Monday Dave called me at work to tell me we should go out to sushi tonight... Of course I said "great!" As we are at dinner, we ordered a drink and Dave goes to do a toast and says..." To my new management position!!" I was like " No-Way!!"
So Dave has accepted a position at Edison as a Manager. This is a huge step in his career and I am so very proud of Him. He really has excelled quickly at the job and has been working really hard. I am a very proud and thankful Wife.

We are even more thankful at how truly blessed we are. We are just continuing to pray about how God wants us to use His huge blessing for Him and to make this world a better place.

OC Beats Pomona Catholic! Big Win....

SO today we had our 3rd league game and we played our biggest rival Pomona Catholic. and we Won! (2-1) I guess we haven't beaten them in softball in many years so it was a huge victory. The best thing about is that we played great and played as a team. It really feels like the past week or so our Team is starting to come together and really work together. This has been really encouraging to see.
Tomorrow we start Easter Break and a much needed break for us all. I am really looking forward to some rest and relaxation and hoping I will be able to come back to work with some energy and motivation to finish up this year!!
Lots of Love!

My new Do......

So since before our wedding I have been saying that after our wedding I wanted to cut my hair short and dye it brown. So I was a little afraid for such a big change at once so i decided ot go in stages..... so shortly after our wedding reception I did the chop. I cut off about 12 inches of my once long, blonde locks. Well finally I went for the brunette and today I colored by hair mostly brown with some blonde highlights and I love the change. Here's some pics... hope you like!

Model A Pancake Breakfast

So last Sunday, Dave and I took the Model A down to downtown Orange for a big Model A car show. It was a blast. My dad came down also which was fun. There was hundreds of old cars mostly Ford, Model A's but a few other cars as well. We just walked around and looked at all the cars. My favorite part of the day was when Dave was standing by our car and I walked away a little bit to find my dad. When my dad and I came back a couple older men were talking to Dave and very interested in our car. They started asking Dave questions about the car and looking under the hood. Dave was loving every minute. So come to find out these men were from the Model A club of America and they were so impressed by our Model A because they said they never see old cars that are original. They couldn't believe it! So we left that day with Dave pondering if he should ever restore out Old Beauty Ford Model A.

After the car show we drove the A to the Orange Circle and had coffee and then met some good friends for lunch. It was truly a great day!
