About Jules

My name is Jules.
I have always loved to write. Even when I was a child I remember writing as a way of expressing myself.
I desire to help people who are hurting and want to live for something much bigger than myself and this typical (but blessed) American dream. I am learning and seeking what this looks like in my life.
I am a stay at home mom and I love it and would chose this life over and over again. But I do miss exploring the other dimensions of myself, when being a mom wasn't the number one hat I wore.
I love Jesus and am so in awe of His love for me. I hope my life can show even a bit of Him in me.

Memorial day Weekend!

What a great Weekend Dave and I had! We really didn't do much but was just so nice to relax, get stuff done and get time together. The past couple months have been SO busy for both of us. Dave with his promotion and me in the middle of softball season has left us both tired and feeling behind and drained. This weekend was a great mix of relaxation, quality time and lots of chores. Although chores may not sound fun we actually enjoyed working together on some house projects we have been wanting to do for a while. Now today, Monday, we decided is rest day only. : ) So this morning we drove the Model A to Flo's by the Chino Airport and we met our friends there and had breakfast together. It was the farthest voyage the Model A has taken so far. A roundtrip of about 8 miles!! It is so fun cruising in that car. Now we are just gonna relax and then headed to my parents for a BBQ/swim. Hopefully it warms up so we can get some good swim time in. This weekend has been a great taste of summer coming real soon... Hope you all had a great weekend!

Cystic Fibrosis walk: Team Amy

For any of you interested in this walk... It's a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation taking place on May 30th in Tri City Park (Placentia). Amy Collar was my sister in law: Kirsten's Best friend. She fought a hard battle of CF and recently passed away. The message below is from my Kirsten.
"We have formed Team Amy in memory of our dear friend and inspiration, Amy Collar. Anyone is welcome- those who knew Amy, those who are friends with her friends or those that want to burn some calories while doing some good for the world. For those of you that didn't know, Amy was my best friend for 19 years. She was born with CF and passed away in Jan 09. She enjoyed life to the fullest and blessed EVERYONE by her presence. This walk is very special because it is taking place on Amy's birthday and will be a time to celebrate our dear friend. Amy always hoped to participate in this walk, yet her health never allowed. If you cannot make the walk but would like to donate to our team, you can click on the link below ( or enter the website www.cff.org if the link doesn't work) Look for "find a walker". Type in my name and follow the steps to donate."
