About Jules

My name is Jules.
I have always loved to write. Even when I was a child I remember writing as a way of expressing myself.
I desire to help people who are hurting and want to live for something much bigger than myself and this typical (but blessed) American dream. I am learning and seeking what this looks like in my life.
I am a stay at home mom and I love it and would chose this life over and over again. But I do miss exploring the other dimensions of myself, when being a mom wasn't the number one hat I wore.
I love Jesus and am so in awe of His love for me. I hope my life can show even a bit of Him in me.

wedding and reception slideshow....Fun!!

Check out this link below! This is a slideshow our photographer made for us of some of her favorite shots from our wedding and our reception. I love the ones with the Model A too!!. so cool. All of Dave's hard work getting that car ready paid off for sure. and we are so thankful we were able to have the car for the reception even though it didn't work our with the wedding. Our photographer and Videographer were both so great and flexible and we are really happy. If anyone needs either of these for a wedding, I would highly reccomend them. The wedding album is still in process but I know it will be great!
There may have been some challenges in our wedding day, but I would say these photos and this backround made it all worth it. The church was beautiful but the beach and the sunset was just breathtaking!!
love you all so much.

Dreams

I think Martin Luther King Day so such an inspirational day! We all know the great accomplishments of Martin Luther King which changed life and history in amazing, positive ways. To me when I think of Martin Luther King day I also think of Dreams. A man with a Dream. A Dream that came true. At the time it was a huge dream. A dream his family and friends and even the public may have laughed at as seeming idealistic or unachieveable. And although yes most importantly this day signifies an equality amoung men, it signifies so much more then that. To me it is a reminder that we can achieve our dreams, whether they be small or huge, whether we live to see then come true or not, They can if we take action. I felt inspired today as I have huge dreams.

January.

So, I thought I would send a brief update. Things are going really great. Life has calmed down a ton and we are very happy about that. The month of December was just so crazy busy with the reception and many birthday's and of course Christmas that we were feeling a bit on the overwhelmed side ( at least I was : )so the change of pace has been nice. We have really enjoyed getting settled and just enjoying time with each other. As many of you know we have been looking for a church together pretty much since we met. We have visited a good handful and just had not found one that really fit us both, we are so excited because we have started going to TheRock Church in Yorba Linda and we love it. The pastor is amazing and real and honest and it is great. We started a marriage bible study that is really cool too. We are thinking this is where we will stay permanently and hope to slowly get involved in other things.
My Softball season is almost up and running so I am pumped about that. I really thing The team this year at my new school is going to do well and have great potential. I love coaching so much so I love this time of year.
Lots of Love, Hope to see you all soon!

New Years 2009!

SO we had a wonderful New Years Eve and Day! On News Years Eve we had a few couples over and just had a mellow relaxing but really fun night. The hit of the night was the yummy chocalate fondue and wine tasting. Then we woke up early New Years Day to head out to the desert to go Ride the Quads with a few of my close friends. We had a blast!. Dave and I have a couple Quads and then Dianes friend had some too so we managed to have a toy for everyone. I am doing much better on the Quad this time. I think I only stalled once or twice this time!! It really was just great to get to spend quality time with our friends. APril is in town from Oregon so that has been really great to hang with her. Happy New Year!

Our Wedding Reception

Merry Christmas!
We had our Wedding Reception last night and had a really wonderful time. It was so cool because even though it was not our actual wedding day, It really was a very special day for Dave and I. Everything went so smooth and was so beautiful and it was really fun to share in our day and joy with so many people. We are very thankful to so many of you for making it even though it was last minute and a very busy season. It meant so much to us.
Dave's Mom surprised us with a wedding cake because we were not planning on getting another one and Dave's mom and my mom made the cake table very sweet and sentimental by putting a table cloth that Dave's Grandmother had made and that Carol had in her wedding and my mom put my dad'd old bible that my mom carried her bouquet on at her wedding on the table open to Dave and I favorite passage, 1 Corinthians 13. It was so cool and special and I loved it!
Our photographer is so awesome and did another huge amazing photo shoot for us which we had a blast shooting with the Model A as our background.
The weather was perfect, even blue skies. We literally just missed the rain. We got home unloaded the car and it started raining. Perfect Timing. Right when we got home we had the news on and the news was at the building right next to the community center saying it was a voluntary evacuation center for Yorba Linda residents because of the fear of mudlides with these rains. Too crazy right. Dave and I could not believe that we were just there.. we laughed and were thankful that nature was patient for us.
I will upload pictures soon but I have the link to the highlight wedding video that was played last night for those of you that were not able to make it or if any of you would like to see it again. If you don't have Quicktime, you can download it on the link for free.

Thank You for being such a special part of our lives together!
Love, Jules and Dave

Making our House, Our Home! :) Merry Christmas!

and "The Ugly Sweater PArty" Dave won for the ugliest sweater. GOod Job Babe!

SO We have been married about 3 weeks now and are having so much fun! We are really looking forward to our reception this weekend to celebrate with so many people we love. We spent this past weekend painting the front room of our home. We worked together and got it done pretty fast and it looks awesome. We then decorated the house for Christmas and got our first Christmas Tree together. We had so much fun decorating it together. It has really been cool adding different touches to make this our home together. We can't wait to have all of you over and spend time together. Merry Christmas!~ We really hope you all have Peace and Joy in your hearts as we celebrate the birth and Love of such a wonderful Savior!
