About Jules

My name is Jules.
I have always loved to write. Even when I was a child I remember writing as a way of expressing myself.
I desire to help people who are hurting and want to live for something much bigger than myself and this typical (but blessed) American dream. I am learning and seeking what this looks like in my life.
I am a stay at home mom and I love it and would chose this life over and over again. But I do miss exploring the other dimensions of myself, when being a mom wasn't the number one hat I wore.
I love Jesus and am so in awe of His love for me. I hope my life can show even a bit of Him in me.

Ontario Lady Knights first big Victory!

So today was our first softball game and we played so great. I was really so proud of the girls. They played a great game with lots of intensity and excitement. A little team theme that the girls made up for this year is "Let our Bats be mighty and our feet be swift" and this was true today!! Our bats were mighty with many great hits by The Knights. We took a 13-1 victory over Woodcrest Christian who actually beat us twice last year. This season is looking very hopeful as we have a strong group of returners and 3 standout freshman. It was so fun today because almost my whole family and Dave and my mother in law, Carol, came to the game. I love having them there to support me and watch my team. After we had everyone over to our house for burgers and had such a wonderful evening. I finally got to give my parent their wedding album and they loved it. It really was a fun, special night. Thanks guys for making the effort to come out here for the game and dinner. Love you all!

Valentines with Rich and Nicole!

We had a fun, very relaxing Valentines Day. We had originally planned on going out of town this weekend but some bad weather and sick friends caused a last minute change of plans. So Friday night Dave and I were at dinner just the two of us (After he had surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers) thinking about what we should do for Valentines Day and thought it would be fun to go wine tasting. SO we called up my good friend Nicole to see if by chance her and her fiance, Rich, didn't have any Valentine plans and they didn't. So the four of us spent a beautiful day out in Temecula. Nicole and Rich are great friends and we really hadn't gotten to spend a lot of time together recently so it was really nice. The four of us just hung out all day and then decided to come back to our house and make dinner. All and all it was a really great time with good friends. Since we just got married and Rich and Nicole are getting married in April there was definetly lots of love in the air this Valentines! We love you all very much!! Happy Valentines Day!!

wedding and reception slideshow....Fun!!

Check out this link below! This is a slideshow our photographer made for us of some of her favorite shots from our wedding and our reception. I love the ones with the Model A too!!. so cool. All of Dave's hard work getting that car ready paid off for sure. and we are so thankful we were able to have the car for the reception even though it didn't work our with the wedding. Our photographer and Videographer were both so great and flexible and we are really happy. If anyone needs either of these for a wedding, I would highly reccomend them. The wedding album is still in process but I know it will be great!
There may have been some challenges in our wedding day, but I would say these photos and this backround made it all worth it. The church was beautiful but the beach and the sunset was just breathtaking!!
love you all so much.

Dreams

I think Martin Luther King Day so such an inspirational day! We all know the great accomplishments of Martin Luther King which changed life and history in amazing, positive ways. To me when I think of Martin Luther King day I also think of Dreams. A man with a Dream. A Dream that came true. At the time it was a huge dream. A dream his family and friends and even the public may have laughed at as seeming idealistic or unachieveable. And although yes most importantly this day signifies an equality amoung men, it signifies so much more then that. To me it is a reminder that we can achieve our dreams, whether they be small or huge, whether we live to see then come true or not, They can if we take action. I felt inspired today as I have huge dreams.

January.

So, I thought I would send a brief update. Things are going really great. Life has calmed down a ton and we are very happy about that. The month of December was just so crazy busy with the reception and many birthday's and of course Christmas that we were feeling a bit on the overwhelmed side ( at least I was : )so the change of pace has been nice. We have really enjoyed getting settled and just enjoying time with each other. As many of you know we have been looking for a church together pretty much since we met. We have visited a good handful and just had not found one that really fit us both, we are so excited because we have started going to TheRock Church in Yorba Linda and we love it. The pastor is amazing and real and honest and it is great. We started a marriage bible study that is really cool too. We are thinking this is where we will stay permanently and hope to slowly get involved in other things.
My Softball season is almost up and running so I am pumped about that. I really thing The team this year at my new school is going to do well and have great potential. I love coaching so much so I love this time of year.
Lots of Love, Hope to see you all soon!

New Years 2009!

SO we had a wonderful New Years Eve and Day! On News Years Eve we had a few couples over and just had a mellow relaxing but really fun night. The hit of the night was the yummy chocalate fondue and wine tasting. Then we woke up early New Years Day to head out to the desert to go Ride the Quads with a few of my close friends. We had a blast!. Dave and I have a couple Quads and then Dianes friend had some too so we managed to have a toy for everyone. I am doing much better on the Quad this time. I think I only stalled once or twice this time!! It really was just great to get to spend quality time with our friends. APril is in town from Oregon so that has been really great to hang with her. Happy New Year!
